Connecting with SASS
As a Rider student with a documented disability you may be wondering how to access accommodations and support services.
- Complete the which allows you to upload your documentation within the form. Be sure to refer to the Documentation Guidelines in order to know what documentation you need to provide.
- Provide documentation of your disability either through the Confidential Self-Disclosure Form, or by emailing it to [email protected].
- Check your Rider email for an invitation to schedule an intake appointment during which your accommodations for the semester will be determined.
- Email our office after your schedule has been finalized in order to receive your accommodation letters for the semester. SASS will email your accommodation letters to you and your professors.
Please note: Having a diagnosis does not necessarily mean you are eligible for academic accommodations. Accommodations are provided to students whose disability significantly limits their academic functioning. An IEP in and of itself is rarely sufficient documentation to secure accommodations, which are determined by review of documentation, intake interview with the student, and staff professional judgement.

Parking
Designated handicapped/disabled parking spaces are available in the parking lots to anyone who has either a permanent or temporary state-issued handicapped placard displayed. Vehicles must also be registered with Public Safety. If students with an appropriate placard require parking within a gated lot, please contact Student Accessibility and Support Services at [email protected].
